This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Security team within SouthWestern Sydney Local Health District, where your work directly contributes to thesafety, wellbeing and experience of patients, visitors and staff. Security staff play avital role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment across our facilities—working collaboratively with clinical and non‑clinical teams, assisting with patientmanagement, guiding visitors, and safeguarding people and property. The role iscentred on early identification, prevention and effective management of incidents,ensuring our hospitals and services remain secure, welcoming and aligned with workhealth and safety legislation.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.



1. Current NSW Security Licence in accordance with the NSW Security Industry 1997 Class 1A, First Aid Certification and an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
2. Effective written and oral communication skills to enable:- (1) sound team work in an often challenging work environment; and (2) clear and concise written record keeping.
3. Ability and willingness to participate in rotating shift work
4. Sound understanding of the application of security techniques including conflict resolution skills, de-escalation and restraint practices.
5. Demonstrated ability to work, with minimum supervision, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
6. Demonstrated computer literacy at a data entry level as well as ability to operate electronic security systems.
7. Demonstrated customer service skills with a high degree of personal integrity and motivation.
8. Regularly available at short notice
