A leading international defence client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Designer to support design and delivery of vessel HVAC systems across major defence projects.
Responsible for design, integration and delivery of HVAC systems through the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with government standards, supporting production and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Design HVAC systems for vessel applications meeting compliance, audit and customer requirements.
* Engage key stakeholders across design, production and project teams, providing technical support and contributing to cost-effective, waste reduction solutions.
* Actively innovating and contributing to all stages of design and implementation
Requirements
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
o Or a Diploma / Cert IV of Engineering Technical (HVAC, refrigeration and Air Conditioning) with appropriate work experience
* Experience in Marine, Defence, Oil & Gas, Mining or Heavy Industry (Highly Regarded - not essential)
* Strong Coordination and problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of HVAC ISO and Australian Standards.
* Previous HVAC Design and Engineering experience - 3+ years
* Ability to obtain and maintain baseline security clearance
Location / Salary
* Salary - $110 868 to $121 333 + super (dependent on experience)
* Henderson based
