About MTU:
MTU Maintenance Australia Pty Ltd, based in Perth, is the regional contact for On-Site and Field Service MRO solutions for Aero Engines (CF34) and Industrial Gas Turbines (LM2500 and LM6000) in the Asia-Pacific region. As part of the global Maintenance On-Site Service network, we have been combining technological expertise with in-depth experience for over a decade to implement individual solutions directly at our customers' sites. We are currently seeking a full time Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician based at our office in Canning Vale in Western Australia.
Area of responsibility:
Help the production planner (CAM) schedule maintenance tasks and allocate resources in line with MTU's fatigue policy and personal planning;
* Ensure conformance with group requirements and procedures;
* Carrying out on-site and in-house aircraft engine maintenance (disassembly / assembly and repair work) on our approved Turbofan engine types;
* Perform detailed Turbine engine borescope inspections and creating corresponding reports;
* Technical Turbofan engine support for customers on-site;
* Processing and execution of required aeronautical product maintenance documentation to a high technical standard;
* Self-organized preparation and follow-up of assignments;
* Ensuring compliance with our exposition working under CASA Part145 approval;
* Following Quality and Safety procedures, adhering to SMS and DAMP policies
* Technical instruction and supervision of aviation technicians and subcontractors;
* Preparation and wrap-up of field service events (organisation of business trip and logistics for spare parts, tools, etc);
* Documentation of results and composition of maintenance reports.
Requirements:
* Qualification related to Aircraft maintenance engineering (Part 145 or
equivalent)
* Minimum 5+ years in a similar position
* knowledge of applicable CASA Part145 and Part42 legislation and regulations, standards and internal best practices
* Familiarity with maintenance operations of GE's CF34/CFM56 Engine desirable but not essential
* Must have experience on aircraft turbofan engines
* Very good command of spoken and written English
* Willingness to travel and to perform hands-on maintenance work
* Confidence, competence and credibility in dealing with customers
* Must have experience in use and application of Manufacturer ICA's,
SB's/AD's and Aircraft Maintenance Task Cards.
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional and international maintenance teams in delivering complex aviation projects, with a strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
* Fluent in English and German and is a plus.
