Armesto's Transport is an Australian, family owned and operated business currently on the lookout for enthusiastic people to join our highly motivated and busy workshop.
We are in the market for a self-motivated experienced Senior Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
to do repairs and servicing in our recent workshop who can use their skills and knowledge to provide hands on mechanical guidance and support to the mechanical workshop team.
The successful applicant will perform duties which will include (but are not limited to)
Performing minor and major, complex services or repairs as required to vehicles, trailers and equipment including transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes
Diagnostic and preventative maintenance
Support daily activities of the mechanical workshop team, providing guidance, technical advice, and mentorship to mechanics and apprentices.
Accountable for the general cleanliness of work area and tool cleanliness and return on a daily basis.
The successful candidate must have the following:
Relevant trade qualifications
Experience with Volvo's and Cummins
Experienced and skilled Diesel Mechanic with a proven ability to support mechanical workshop team members
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team
Drivers licence essential, however heavy vehicle licence would be advantageous
Good communication skills
Able to shift gears in a high paced environment and respond quickly to the requirements of production.
Remuneration Salary of $73,150 to $83,150.00 per Annum Permanent Position
(Dependent on Skills and Experience)
This is a permanent full time position with a 38 hour week plus overtime as required. Involves weekend work. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant depending on experience.
