We’re seeking a Senior Trade Overseer – Facilities Maintenance (HVAC) to support and lead critical maintenance operations at the South Coast Correctional Centre.
This role is ideal for professionals ready to move beyond the tools into technical oversight, team leadership and system reliability.
Your role:
As the Senior Trade Overseer, you will:
* Provide technical leadership and oversight across HVAC systems.
Supervise and develop inmates through structured training, coaching and mentoring.
* Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance to keep the correctional centre operational
* Ensure compliance with WHS, statutory, and quality requirements.
* Support operational continuity of critical facility systems.
* Work closely with maintenance teams and site stakeholders.
All successful candidates receive fully paid training to complete a
Certificate III in Correctional Practice (if not already held).

Qualifications Required:
* Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes
* Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
* Must hold trade qualification and proven post trade experience, specific to the roles below.
HVAC, Licensed HVAC technician
Essential Requirements:
* Proven post trade experience
* Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the CSI Senior Trade Overseer role description.
* Ability and willingness to work across trades, flexibly, and work unplanned overtime to support team capability.
* Must be willing to work on an ‘on call’ rotational roster
