Taree Campus

Temporary Part Time (14 hours per week) until 31 December 2026

$91,081 - $100,536 salary package - includes base salary ($80,246 - $88,576 per annum), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (pro-rata)

About the role

This role is responsible for the day‑to‑day husbandry and welfare of cattle, along with the upkeep of the farm facility. Key duties include sowing pasture, maintaining farm infrastructure such as fencing and irrigation, and ensuring machinery and equipment are functional and well serviced.

The Technical Officer provides practical, hands-on support across the Agribusiness section by preparing, demonstrating, and maintaining equipment, tools, technology, and teaching resources used in agricultural training. Working closely with teaching staff, the role ensures learning environments are safe, compliant, and well organised to support effective class delivery.

Additional responsibilities include managing equipment maintenance and records, coordinating repairs, handling consumables and hazardous materials, and supporting educational activities, demonstrations, and student projects. The role plays an essential part in maintaining secure, high-quality, and industry-aligned practical learning spaces.

About You

You are a practical, safety‑focused technical professional with a Certificate IV or equivalent skills, knowledge & experience in using, maintaining, and adapting tools, equipment, and materials within your trade or vocational area. Highly organised and capable of working independently or within a team, you bring problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and a customer‑focused approach while confidently contributing to class support, resource preparation, equipment upkeep, and overall learning environment quality.
