Job Overview
The Senior Coastal Engineer will work as part of a cohesive team to successfully deliver various coastal and maritime engineering services. This role requires providing high quality design, analysis and engineering knowledge and effective project management skills to support the project delivery and ongoing business needs.
The ideal candidate will be involved in planning and conducting of engineering projects of a complex nature while proactively collaborating with appropriate team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables to meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Scoping and managing the production of metocean studies
* Marina and small craft facility design
* Planning and design of coastal and maritime infrastructure for ports, resources, water infrastructure, aquaculture and renewable energy sectors
* Manage the successful delivery of coastal and maritime engineering projects in accordance with HSE and QA policies and procedures.
* Preparation of proposals, fee estimates and programs for consulting projects
* Liaising with clients, potential and current, for service delivery, networking, and business development.
* Providing technical leadership, mentoring and supervision for junior engineers
Suitable Applicants:
* Degree qualified in Civil, Structural or Maritime Engineering
* A minimum of 6+ years' commercial experience in a similar role
* Established knowledge and experience in asset management, maritime structures and port engineering
* Experience managing project deliverables from start to finish
* Excellent interpersonal skills and superior report-writing competencies
