Database Administrator Position
Overview of the Role
As a Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting day-to-day (BAU) database operations with flexibility to contribute to project-based cloud migration and uplift initiatives during quieter BAU periods.
* Maintain and support a mix of legacy and modern database environments including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.
* Perform routine patching performance tuning job scheduling backups and data integrity checks.
* Utilize backup and recovery tools like Rubrik and Commvault.
* 5+ years hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server databases including versions 2008 2014 and 2017.
* Strong expertise in SQL Server to Azure Managed Instance migration including SSIS SQL Agent Jobs and CDC.
* Demonstrated experience working with Azure cloud services particularly SQL Managed Instances and database migration tools.
