Glencore Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking a Boilermaker to join the HV & Refrigeration team. This position reports to the Supervisor Utilities and operates on a 5 days on, 2 days off day shift roster.

The Role
This role involves providing technical trade support to the Utilities team in both workshop and onsite environments. An innovative mindset and willingness to challenge norms are essential. The position is residential in Mount Isa, with a standard Monday to Friday schedule, though some shift work may be required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Promote a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
2. Provide maintenance support across various areas and equipment.
3. Experience in pipe and structural steel fabrication, sheet metal work, and welding.
4. Deliver high-quality service to Asset Stakeholders through planned and breakdown maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to work independently and in teams.
- Solid knowledge of fabrication, welding, gouging, folding, and quality control processes.
- Understanding of Australian Standards relevant to this field.
- Australian recognized trade qualification as a Boilermaker (Fabrication).
- Proficiency in GTAW, MMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes.
- Current manual Australian driver's license.
- Forklift ticket; basic rigger/dogger/HR tickets are advantageous.
- Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Ellipse, and SAP.
- Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining high customer focus.
