**The Role**
The role requires a person with highly developed organisational skills, a drive to manage compliance related tasks, an understanding of improvement and quality and an ability to develop a sound understanding of procurement and contract management.

The people in this team are multi skilled, well rounded individuals with a broad range of responsibilities encompassing all aspects of quality assurance, compliance, policy implementation, procurement and contract management.

This role grows future leaders in the Branch, where training and experiences are afforded to those who are committed and aim for achievement and success.

**About Our Team**
Capital Facilities and Infrastructure Branch manages a growing $21 billion portfolio of major infrastructure and facility projects for the Department of Defence all over mainland Australia, and in some cases, remote Islands.

This area develops and delivers major capital facilities and infrastructure projects to support the sustainment of the Defence estate, as well as Fundamental Input to Capability of new Defence assets.

Within this Branch is the Directorate of Quality and Compliance (DQC) that manage the compliance framework, the procurement and contract management processes and the procedures and tools that support the delivery of projects.

In addition to these areas of responsibility, this Directorate manages and maintains two significant services Panels for Defence and manages the Defence Suite of Facilities contracts.

The position will also have opportunities to deal with Industry across a range of forums, implement new policy and legislation, and deliver internal training to the broad users of the resources managed by the Directorate.
- You must have a strong demonstrated understanding of quality principles and be able to align quality activities and outcomes to a compliance framework.
- You must have an understanding of and the ability to implement continuous improvement practices to drive the change this generates.

This includes the ability to display exceptional attention to detail in all outcomes.
- You must demonstrate a high level of written, verbal, negotiation and communication skills and have the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels and with a range of audiences internally and externally to Defence to achieve outcomes.
- You must have a willingness to learn and be challenged as well as an ability to adapt to change in a positive manner
- You must also have strong time management skills and the ability to adapt and re-prioritise work to meet deadlines that may change frequently.

This includes the ability to work individually and with others within a small dynamic and dedicated team that works within a fast-paced environment.
