ROADSIDE MAINTENANCE TEAM OPERATOR
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic applicant to become a Roadside Maintenance Team Operator for Warren Shire Council on a full-time basis.
This position is one within a small team of two to three people whose principal duty is the maintenance and construction of Council's sealed and unsealed road network. Works will include but are not limited to road verge slashing, road & roadside traffic facilities establishment, maintenance & cleaning as well as culvert repairs and replacement and bridge repairs.
Essential
* General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
* Class HR Driver's Licence (or be willing to obtain within 6 months)
* Traffic Controller Certificate
* Have the ability to undertake extensive overtime and be prepared to participate in the Extended Flexible Working Hours for Road Work Teams and Other Associated Staff Agreement
Desirable
* First Aid Certificate
* Implement Work Zone Traffic Management Plan
* Plant Operation Training
Employment Conditions
* Salary Range: $ $ per week + allowances
* 12% superannuation
* 9-day fortnight flexitime system – 38-hour paid week
* Leave provisions as per the Local Government (State) Award
The successful applicant will be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment prior to confirmation of employment.
