About the Role
This is a highly specialised position where you'll work with vulnerable community members and their children to support parent-child relationships. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team with other counsellors, caseworkers and support workers, supporting a caseload of 16 children and their families where there is a 3-year-old eligible for kindergarten (pro rata).
Your days will consist of outreach home visits to these families, relationship and capacity building with the parents that encourage effective in-home learning, connection, sustaining relationships with wrap-around services as well as kindergarten teaching teams. You'll become a part of the Pedagogy team within the Children's Services branch.
The successful applicant will join the AEL professional partnership.
Key Responsibilities
