Renewable Energy Project Specialist
Job Description:
* This is a permanent full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engineering Design & Technical Oversight:
* Lead the design and specification of renewable energy systems, including generation, distribution, and metering infrastructure tailored for remote communities
1. Project Lifecycle Support:
* Support all phases of project delivery—from concept development and tender evaluations to factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and final commissioning
1. Stakeholder Engagement:
* Collaborate with internal teams, Aboriginal communities, contractors, and external engineers to ensure solutions are culturally appropriate, technically sound, and community-focused
1. Documentation & Governance:
* Prepare technical reports, scopes of work, and internal documentation such as board papers and business cases
1. Fieldwork & Site Visits:
* Travel to remote locations across WA (5–10 trips per year) for inspections, testing, and commissioning. You'll gain hands-on experience and see the real-world impact of your work
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* Experience with renewable systems and power distribution
* CEC accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong understanding of power generation and distribution systems
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
