The Tourism Services team delivers MCG Tours and the Australian Sports Museum, welcoming visitors from across Australia and around the world. An opportunity has arisen to join this team as a Customer Service Representative – Tourism, supporting the day-to-day delivery of visitor services.
About the role
Reporting to the Tourism Services Manager, this role provides a key support function in the delivery of service operations across MCG Tours and the Australian Sports Museum.
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide timely, courteous and professional customer service by identifying visitor needs on first point of contact.
* Make visitor needs a primary focus, taking appropriate responsibility for exceptional customer experiences.
* Ensure FOH and tour route set up occurs on a daily basis and communicate any amendments to the tour route and Australian Sports Museum restrictions where appropriate.
* Provide assistance on day-to-day visitor service issues, including service complaints, system faults and other service related issues.
* Facilitate exceptional visitor experiences in the Game On interactive area, including welcoming groups and being first point of call for technical issues.
* Assist the team with process improvement, with a focus on customer service processes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Excellent customer skills, being adaptable and flexible to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet customer needs.
* Experience working in a tourism visitor or customer service environment and dealing with a diverse range of people.
* Strong customer service experience and passion for delivering quality service.
* Experience working with volunteers.
* Competent computer skills, including point of sale ticketing systems.
* Interest in sport and history.
* Flexibility to work weekends, public and school holidays.
