Responsibilities
* Lead/coordinate and/or contribute to the design management of a variety of open space andinfrastructure projects, on time and within budget, utilising appropriate community consultation and project management practices. Tasks will include the preparation of design briefs, technicalspecifications and procurement packages, staged implementation plans, opinion of probable costsof project budgets, and other relevant documentation; and the evaluation, engagement andmanagement of contractors and consultants as necessary for the implementation of these projects.
* Contribute professional landscape planning and architectural advice that provides managementand operational efficiencies, practical and functional outcomes. This will include the preparationof, and collaboration in the development of reports, policies, guidelines, and other strategydocuments, for public open spaces, streetscapes, recreation facilities and parks.
* Prepare and review landscape architectural documentation from master plans and concept plansto detailed design, construction drawings and design specifications, for park related or landscapedevelopment projects in collaboration and consultation with the Landscape Architectural team,other Council Officers, Councillors, government departments, community and other relevantstakeholders.
* Contribute to the continual improvement of the Toowoomba Region's landscape and open spacesthrough the implementation of policies, procedures and plans and through participation in projectworking groups across Council departments providing expert advice on design matters.
* Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders key to the delivery ofParks and Recreation Services Branch and Council projects with a focus on quality landscapedesign outcomes including coordinating or assisting with community consultation.
* Contribute to the coordination of the work program of the landscape design team including internalstaff, consultants and contractors.
* Undertake a range of administrative duties including report writing, correspondence, recordsmanagement, budgeting and financial monitoring, reporting, awards and grant submissions.
* Carry out other duties that are reasonably within the limits of the employee's skill, competence, and training as required.

Salary: $106,377.46 - $113,406.62 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading.
