About the role
This position is responsible for the engineering assessment, consultation, and commenting on development, thoroughfare, and permit applications. The role also includes the management and preparation of grant funding applications for roads, Road Safety Management Plan, drainage, SUPs, and other related infrastructure.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:
* Assess development and permit applications within agreed timeframes.
* Update and report on the City's Road Safety Management System as required.
* Prepare and submit grant applications, reports, and acquittals on time.
* Respond to enquiries, requests, and complaints promptly.
* Improve systems, policies, and processes supporting development functions.
Who we are looking for
To be considered for this position, you will need:
* Qualification in Civil Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia) with extensive experience.
* Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
* In-depth knowledge of land development engineering standards, policies, processes, and statutory requirements.
