Roles and Responsibilities
An individual with a minimum of 8-to-10 years of experience in roles within the Telecommunication industry, with 3 years as a Business Function Test Lead who has a strong focus on business process analysis, user acceptance testing, and business systems validation related to Order Capture and Order Fulfilment.

Business Flow Process Expertise
— Proficiency Level: Expert. Description: Deep understanding of business process management (BPM) principles, methodologies (e.g., process mapping, modeling, analysis), and related tools. Ability to analyze, document, and improve complex business workflows. Skilled in aligning processes with business strategy and identifying areas for optimization.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Strategy & Execution
— Proficiency Level: Expert. Description: Develop comprehensive UAT strategies, detailed test plans, and manage the entire UAT lifecycle from planning to sign-off. Experience coordinating UAT with end-users and business stakeholders.
UAT Scenario & Test Case Design
— Proficiency Level: Advanced. Description: Design and facilitate the creation of UAT scenarios and test cases reflecting real-world business use cases and requirements. Focus on business value and end-user experience.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
— Proficiency Level: Expert. Description: Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. Build relationships, manage expectations, and convey UAT progress and risks clearly.
Defect Management & Business Impact Analysis
— Proficiency Level: Advanced. Description: Identify, document, and track defects raised during UAT. Assess business impact and facilitate prioritization and resolution.
Test Data Management
— Proficiency Level: Intermediate to Advanced. Description: Define and implement strategies for acquiring, managing, and maintaining relevant and secure test data for UAT. Experience with test data provisioning is a plus.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation (Business Context)
— Proficiency Level: Intermediate. Description: Identify and assess potential business risks with system changes and implement mitigation within the UAT process.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
— Proficiency Level: Advanced. Description: Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and a business-oriented mindset. Identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
Responsibilities
Business Process Expertise: Develop understanding of core business processes, workflows, and data flows across departments and systems. Analyze and document processes to form the basis for validation activities.
UAT Strategy and Planning: Lead development and execution of comprehensive UAT strategies, plans, and timelines for new implementations, system enhancements, and process changes.
Scenario and Test Case Design (Business-Focused): Design and facilitate business-driven UAT scenarios and test cases reflecting real-world user interactions. Ensure traceability between business requirements and UAT test cases.
UAT Execution and Coordination: Oversee and participate in UAT execution with end-users and stakeholders. Provide guidance to testers and ensure clarity and consistency in testing.
Defect Management (Business Impact Analysis): Manage defect identification, documentation, and tracking. Analyze business impact and prioritize/resolution of defects.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Act as primary contact for business stakeholders throughout validation. Communicate UAT progress, findings, and risks to teams and leadership.
Process Improvement and Best Practices: Identify opportunities to improve the UAT process and contribute to best practices for business process validation.
Training and Knowledge Sharing: Develop training materials and guidance for end-users. Promote quality and user-centric validation.
Data Validation and Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and integrity across processes and implementations. Develop validation checks for data quality.
Post-Implementation Review: Participate in post-implementation reviews to assess success and capture lessons learned.
Tools and Technology Advocacy: Evaluate tools that enhance efficiency of validation and UAT activities.
Test Data Management: Define strategies for secure, representative test data for UAT and coordinate data provisioning.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify business risks of system changes and implement mitigation within UAT.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the Telecommunication industry with 3 years as a Business Function Test Lead focused on business process analysis, UAT, and validation.
Deep understanding of business process modelling, analysis, and optimization techniques.
Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive UAT strategies in complex environments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a business-centric perspective.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with defect tracking and management tools.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Experience in developing and delivering training materials and facilitating UAT sessions.
Knowledge of test data management principles and best practices.
Understanding of service virtualization concepts and experience contributing to its implementation in testing environments.
Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow and Remedy.
