About UsIn addition to our outpatient clinics, WS+EMC physiotherapy provides inpatient care at three major Adelaide private hospitals.
We provide services on orthopaedic and orthogeriatric wards as well as to orthopaedic patients in ICU, high dependency or cardiac wards.
We have been providing elective and trauma post-surgical services for more than 30 years working with over 20 orthopaedic surgeons.About the rolesThese positions require the inpatient practitioner to work autonomously, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Members of the team include physiotherapy colleagues, nursing staff, physicians, orthopaedic surgeons and other allied health staff.
These positions rely on good communication to extend patient care to other practitioners where required, to immediately escalate care when medically appropriate and to assist in the discharge planning for all patients.RequirementsThe successful applicants will need to demonstrate:Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team across multiple hospitalsAbility to problem solve / clinically reason for self and extrapolate decision making with colleagues for complex patientsHigh level of skilled communication skillsGood prioritising skillsGood nature with patients and staff and work calmly under pressureApproved Australia ID requirements to enable obtaining a provider number for HICAPSMinimum of 2 years inpatient acute care experienceMinimum of 2 years of orthopaedic-specific experience is preferredMinimum of 6 months ICU experience is preferredWorking with Day 0 mobilisation of orthopaedic patients is preferredRemunerationAn attractive remuneration package is on offer consisting of base salary + bonus scheme + super.Applications will be reviewed as received.
