Technical Solutions Manager - Ground Support

We are actively seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Solutions Manager - Ground Support to join our National Team where you would be responsible for building key customer relationships, identifying and converting new commercial sales for Normet products and services with a focus on ground support technologies.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop, implement and enforce business plans and sales strategies for ground support ensuring the attainment of sales goals and profit targets
* Monitor and review stock holdings / inventory to meet customer demand and internal working capital measures
* Provide hands on technical support and interaction with all levels of staff and customers at mine sites
* Develop sales and marketing strategies and initiate plans to penetrate new markets across all products lines
* Seek, promote and sell training opportunities (including simulator training)
* Track, collate and interpret sales figures to generate sales reports
* Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenues
* Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers of the accounts and industry leaders
* Prepare proposals and presentations to support the achievement of major sales projects
* Identify cross selling and bundled sales opportunities
* Display a high level of professionalism with dealing with customers both internally and externally.
* Maintain and utilise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to enhance customer relationships.


About you, to be considered for this unique opportunity with Normet, you will have:

* 5 plus years in a Business Development Manager or Sales role
* Qualification in Science or Rock Mechanics, tertiary qualifications in sales and marketing is desirable
* Experience selling similar products within the mining industry is highly desirable
* Experience and knowledge of ground control and rock reinforcement technologies
* Proven experience in customer relationship management
* Experience in all aspects of planning and implementing sales strategy
* Ability to manage highly agile and changing work environments
* Strong networking and relationship-building skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
* Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and results‑oriented
* Willingness to travel and work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a pre‑employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance.
