In 2026, we are be celebrating 20 years of Rupert's Bar & Grill. With a new Head Chef, the launch of a freshly designed seasonal menu, and a calendar of celebratory events and ideas to bring to life, it's an exciting time for us
We're looking for a gregarious, enthusiastic, organised, and passionate Host Supervisorto welcome our diners and direct the flow of service.
About the Role
As our Host Supervisor you're not just part of the team – you're leading it. You'll be the go to guide for our staff and diners, helping to create unforgettable experiences. From greeting our diners with a warm welcome to making sure operations run seamlessly, you'll set the standard for exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspiring and leading the team to deliver top-notch hospitality.
* Making sure every guest to the Restaurant experiences friendly, warm and professional service.
* Jumping in when needed – whether it's taking orders, making cocktails or coffees, clearing tables or finalising the bill.
* Resolving guest issues quickly and professionally, ensuring everyone leaves with a smile.
* Being the expert on all things Ruperts & Coachman's Inn – our menu, wines, dining spaces, and accommodation.
* Liaise with our Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure clear communication and smooth service delivery.
* Analysing performance and finding new ways to make our diner's experience even better.
Who We Are Looking For:
* You're a genuine natural leader with hospitality in your veins. Friendly, approachable, and adaptable, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for solving problems on the fly.
* With a hands-on approach, you know how to rally a team and create a space where diners feel valued and cared for. Your eye for detail and love of all things Rupert's makes you the perfect fit to drive the restaurant vibe.
* You will be required to work evenings and weekends where needed, but we are closed on public holidays.

* Experience in front-of-house or guest facing roles, with a strong understanding of service excellence.
* Confidence in leading a team, motivating others and keeping things on track.
* A calm, professional and genuine approach to handling diners concerns and unexpected challenges.
* Comfortable using tech and POS systems.
* A natural interest in food and beverage, connection, and creating meaningful guest interactions.
* A hands-on mindset with the flexibility to jump in where needed to keep operations flowing.
