Substations are the heart of an electrical power system, playing a vital role in delivering electricity to homes and businesses. As an Electrical Engineer - Substation Design, you will be responsible for designing and developing new substation concepts, ensuring they meet the latest safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities include:

* Conceptual design of new substations, including material procurement, construction, and commissioning/startup support through energization.
* Development and delivery of physical, electrical, civil, and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits, and specifications.
* Coordination with project engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Collaboration with subject matter expert discipline groups, including Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection (relay coordination and settings), Civil Engineering, Communication (SCADA Integration), and Transmission & Distribution Engineering.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

* A Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
* Design engineering experience is a plus.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organization and planning skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Commitment to quality and accuracy.
* Fundamental knowledge of power engineering principles and applicable codes and standards.
