Job Description:
The Blue Nature Alliance is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as the Regional Ocean Conservation Manager in the Pacific region. This critical role requires an individual with extensive knowledge of ocean conservation, partnership management, and political advocacy in the Pacific context. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing existing relationships and grants, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the success of the Alliance's site engagements in the Pacific.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
* 5 years of specialized experience in ocean conservation and/or political advocacy gained through education, training, fieldwork, and practical hands-on experience handling multiple partnerships
* Sensitivity to and knowledge of Pacific ways
* Strong network of relevant contacts and ability to leverage these relationships to advance objectives
* Outcome-oriented style with focus on achieving measurable and ambitious goals
* Demonstrated experience in identifying new opportunities and outcomes, and in pursuing partnerships and strategies to deliver greater impact
* Fluency in English; fluency in French is a strong plus but not a limit to non-speaking applicants
