Established in 2004 DoubleGlazed.com are South Australia's largest owned and operated manufacturer of uPVC Windows and Doors. We have built a reputation for quality products and customer service second to none. Using only the highest quality materials and construction methods which means we can stand behind the durability of our products.
Our facility in conveniently located in Lonsdale, SA where we manufacture all the windows and doors that we supply and install. The process all starts with our industry first, benchmark, computer programmed, fully-automated cutting centre.
Due to continued growth, we now have an excellent opportunity to expand our team, with 2 x full-time positions on offer. We pride ourselves on ensuring our employees maintain a healthy work/life balance, with our 38 hour week being Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm, and Friday 7am to 1pm with an early start to the weekend and family time.
This opportunity would suit candidates with experience in manufacturing or production, however full training will be provided for the right people.
Qualifications & Experience
* Ability to communicate with all staff
* Can read cutting lists and work orders
* Use of power tools
* Prior experience in a production environment, making windows, kitchen cabinets or a role where you were required to assemble products to a high standard is preferable
* Experience in construction, carpentry, mechanic, fabrication or second-fix would be beneficial but not essential
* Experience operating a CNC machine would be an advantage
* Quality focused with an eye for detail
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Manufacture our European uPVC double glazed windows & doors
* Identify all different types of profiles, steel reinforcements and hardware used to manufacture uPVC windows and doors
* Read the cutting list and work orders to identify parts required for cutting, steeling and welding
* Read the work order to identify parts required to complete assembly of item
* Accurately and efficiently clean up framework, install all beading and add hardware
* Assemble windows with awnings, fixed doors and sliding door systems
* Proactively work through jobs in order of demand, collecting the next work order, updating software and completing paperwork to maintain traceability records
* Effectively manage your own time, keeping in line with job deadlines and supervisor expectations
* Unload deliveries, check-off stock and put away as directed
* Physically fit
* Work as part of a team adhering to factory health and safety processes
* Safely and effectively use all machinery
* Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
