The role of Financial Reporting Specialist is a critical position within our organisation's Financial Reporting team. This hybrid position is based in Melbourne, Australia, offering flexibility with reduced hours.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead statutory reporting services for corporate clients, ensuring delivery of comprehensive financial reporting services with support from the leadership and technical accounting specialists.
* Supervise complex statutory reporting engagements, providing senior oversight, and acting as a Counsellor to support team members' career development.
* Broaden internal and external networks to stay informed on industry issues and foster a positive team culture that promotes high performance and collaboration.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Detailed knowledge and experience with Australian Accounting Standards, preferably gained through working in a professional services firm or comparable industry role.
* A Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent completed.
* Technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential, with knowledge of another Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP), such as US GAAP, being advantageous.
