The Role
Perth College is now recruiting a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our collaborative and close-knit team. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this position plays a key role in delivering timely, high quality HR support across Perth College.
This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position, and there is flexibility in the role for the right candidate, to work the hours in a way that ensures workload and deadlines are managed during peak times.
To be successful you will need to have strong generalist experience across the full employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Staff Induction and Onboarding
* Probation and Performance Appraisals
* Professional Learning and Development
* Employee Relations matters
A positive "can do" attitude, the ability to self-motivate and adapt quickly, as well as being solution focused with the capacity to balance care for people with commercial business outcomes, will lead to success in this role.

You have:
* A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, and/or at least four-five years' experience in a similar role.
* Strong generalist experience, with a good grounding in a broad range of human resources functional activities.
* Knowledge, understanding and the ability to apply and interpret key legislation including the Fair Work Act with demonstrated capability to provide advice to staff.
* Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage changing priorities and to work to deadlines.
* Ability to act with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
* Excellent communication skills, including competency to produce professionally written documentation.
* Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
