Overview
Are you an experienced compliance officer or looking to grow your career in regulatory work?
Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is seeking Compliance Inspectors to support compliance and enforcement activities across a broad range of industries and legislative frameworks.
The Compliance Inspector is responsible for undertaking inspections, contributing to investigations, and providing advice and education to licensees, traders and consumers. The role focuses on promoting legislative compliance, addressing non‐compliance, and supporting CBS's regulatory priorities through field‐based and operational work.
Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections to assess compliance with relevant legislation
* Provide advice, education, cautions, notices or directions to support compliance
* Contribute to investigations through interviews, document review and evidence collection
* Assist with enforcement activities, including preparing reports and supporting court matters
* Participate in taskforces and compliance activities, including out‐of‐hours work where required
* Engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including industry, government agencies and the community
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a field‐based compliance environment. You will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders, applying legislation, and working under limited direction to achieve regulatory outcomes. You will also contribute positively to team culture and adapt to changing priorities.
