Procurement Manager (Renewable Energy Projects)

Our client is a global developer delivering large-scale renewable energy projects across solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy and supplier engagement across their Australian portfolio.
This is a senior-level role sitting within a global technical and procurement function, working closely with engineering, legal, and project delivery teams across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies across wind, solar, and BESS project portfolios
* Lead end-to-end procurement activities for major project packages, ensuring alignment with project timelines and financing requirements
* Manage and negotiate high-value CAPEX contracts and long-term supply agreements
* Establish and maintain framework agreements and global procurement standards
* Work closely with legal, technical, and engineering teams during contract development and execution
* Support risk identification and mitigation strategies across procurement and supply chain activities
* Monitor procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement across processes and outcomes
About You
* 10–12 years' experience in procurement and supply chain within EPC or large-scale infrastructure projects
* Strong background in renewable energy (wind, solar, BESS) or adjacent sectors such as oil & gas or utilities
* Proven experience managing high-value CAPEX procurement and supplier negotiations
* Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of financial and budget management principles
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
* Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and mentor others in a fast-paced environment
* Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving, and international project environment
