**Role Description**
- Soil, leaf, and fruit monitoring for disease, pests, and weeds;
- Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data samples of plant, soil, and other factors affecting production to assist the Senior Agronomist in decision making for orchard nutrition and pest/disease management;
- Pest and disease mapping, monitoring, and the implementation of sound pest and disease reduction strategies based on empirical data;
- Studying and trialling new methods and products to ensure there are continued improvements to orchard health, nutrient levels, soil structure, and pest/disease pressures;
- Implementation of IPM programs using science-based tools, analysis of data, and performing trials to ensure best practice;
- Delivery of a measurement-based approach to pathogen management, pest reduction, and nutrition management.
- Assisting with general farm hand duties, orchard administration and irrigation duties as required
- Ensuring a high level of compliance with Health and Safety requirements at all times

Pay: $73,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree (required)
