At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to support excellence in nursing practice across our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
About the Opportunity
As a Clinical Nurse Educator ? CAMHS, you will play a pivotal role in developing the knowledge, skills, and clinical capability of nursing and relevant clinical staff. This role is integral to supporting newly registered nurses, nurses transitioning into mental health, and the ongoing professional development of the CAMHS workforce.
Working closely with Team Leaders and Managers, you will ensure nursing competencies meet AHPRA, NSW Health, and CCLHD standards, while promoting evidence-based, person-centred care for children, adolescents, and their families.
In this role you will:
* Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs and in-services for nursing and allied health staff.
* Support orientation and transition programs for new and developing nurses.
* Identify individual and team learning needs and support tailored learning plans.
* Assess clinical practice and competency attainment, including certification where required.
* Provide point-of-care clinical supervision and mentoring.
* Develop and maintain high-quality educational resources using adult learning principles.
* Actively contribute to quality improvement, change management, and evidence-based practice initiatives.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a current NSW Driver Licence.
* A relevant post-registration clinical or education qualification or a minimum of three years? experience in mental health nursing and education.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Sound understanding of adult learning principles within a healthcare environment.
* Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching, facilitation, and competency assessment.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with hospital information systems.
* A clear understanding of Caring for the Coast and how this role contributes to CCLHD?s vision and values.
