Crown Management is looking for an Application Specialist to assist with the design, development, build and support of multiple deployable systems, and integration of configurations and software into internal and external project delivered information domains.
This position is a fast-paced, technical, hands-on role that is responsible for conducting capability development, as well as design, build, maintenance, and configuration control tasks.
This position requires a combination of disciplines including technical hands-on communications network engineering, systems integration, innovation, test and evaluation, and documentation (technical and security).
Successful applicant will be a part of a large organisation of highly skilled contracted professionals and contribute to the successful delivery of military ICT solutions.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Support external organisations in the development and management of the Digital Common Operating Picture, and Recognised Land Picture.
- Conduct role specific training to technical tradespersons, and other technical and non-technical staff.
- Provide Level 3 technical support to military exercises for role specific technologies and systems.
- Support innovation activities to demonstrate technology (such as virtual reality, 3D mapping and rendering) applicability on modern Military Command and Control systems.
- Provide other services as tasked by the Military Executive group.
**Special Requirements**:
- Knowledge and understanding of BMS-Fires capabilities and Joint Fires capabilities.
- Enhanced geospatial & DTED rending
- Knowledge and understanding of F2T2EA and the digital architecture supporting its various effects
- Extensive (greater than 10 years) experience in the field of Application integration or management of military systems.
- Experience with network integration at the tactical and operational levels within the ADF, including interfaces to strategic network boundaries.
Successful applicants must hold an active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance as recognised by AGSVA.
