About the role
The Director, Organisation Development - Leadership Development is a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping and developing the University's enterprise-wide leadership development and succession strategy. This role will report to the Executive Director of Organisation Development and role plays a critical part in building high-performance, future-ready leadership culture that supports the University's long-term ambitions.
Operating at both strategic and operational levels, the Director leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of leadership programs, succession strategies, and practical tools that are inclusive, accessible, and digitally enabled, building capability across academic and professional cohorts. A confident facilitator, the Director is expected to personally lead program elements, particularly those targeting senior or high-potential leaders, while ensuring all development practices are aligned with the University's strategic goals and people experience frameworks. The role collaborates across People & Community, Diver sity & Inclusion, Indigenous Strategy and Chief O perating Office, and senior leadership to embed leadership excellence into the organisational fabric.
About you
You are an accomplished senior leader with experience in leading enterprise wide, strategic leadership development and succession planning initiatives within large, complex organisations. In addition, you will have:
* Expert ise in design ing and facilitat ing leadership programs, confiden tly engaging senior and diverse audiences.
* A d emonstrate d capability in developing and implementing leadership resources, frameworks and toolkits.
* A s trong ability in building high-performing teams and applying evidence-based team development principles.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on program impact and continuous improvement.
