About the Role
This diverse role will suit a results driven and experienced Senior Structural Engineer who has a proven track record in leading project teams, building and maintaining key client relationships, and providing technical advice across the structural discipline. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate good experience across Resources sectors.
Skills & Experience
As the successful candidate, you should have prior Senior engineer level working experience in the Oil & Gas and Mining sectors, with a focus on design.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with growing the team and developing engineers and designers
* Reviewing analysis models and calculations
* Carrying out complex structural analysis
* Preparing and reviewing assessment reports
* Growing the client base of the structural team
* Key client relationship management
* Liaising with vendors and suppliers
* Leading bids and proposals
Key requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering with 7+ years relevant experience
* Strong knowledge of AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 1170 suite of standards
* Experience with AS 1418.1, AS, AS 1657, and AS 5131.
* Strong knowledge of structural steel material
* Proficient in structural analysis software such as Space Gass
* Strong understanding of safety in design principles
* Strong understanding of facilities engineering for brownfield resource projects
* Strong understanding of workflow and interactions in multidisciplinary teams
* Strong understanding of fabrication and detailing of structural steel
* Experienced in lifting, installation studies and construction support
* Knowledge of finite element analysis.
* Proven track record in project delivery
* Strong industry knowledge and presence
* Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining key client relationships
* Chartered status would be highly regarded
