Lead Systems Integration and Test Specialist
The organization is seeking an experienced Lead Systems Integration and Test Specialist to support the delivery of a major enterprise network modernization program. This critical role focuses on the ongoing integration and testing of various system components and is based in Melbourne, Australia.

The successful candidate will directly support the Program Technical Lead by leading the System Integration and Test team to establish and manage the overall managed services network for the program through development and initial deployment.
As the Lead Systems Integration and Test Specialist, you are responsible for leading the team by supporting or conducting test and verification of the overall system and managing the integration and test environments according to associated plans, processes, and procedures.
This position requires Australian nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment must meet eligibility requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of the production of system-level test plans, system test procedures, and other required system test documents;
* Undertaking and supervising system test activities;
* Planning and coordination of lab resources to ensure the test environment is available for test development and execution;
* Ensuring that system test activities are carried out within budgetary constraints;
* Ensuring that all system test activities for projects are completed on schedule to enable project milestones to be met;
* Design and implementation of automated tests frameworks, including implementation of automated tests;
* Leading formal internal and external test readiness reviews (TRRs) and product end-item data package reviews;
* Leading a team of 5 to 10 I&T engineers and consulting across functional technical teams, including but not limited to Systems, Project, Quality, and Network Engineering;
* Coordinating the support contractor test activities throughout subsystem testing;
* Management of test environments, including identifying requirements and adhering to formal configuration management practices;
* Being the single point of contact for the Chief System Engineer regarding all matters related to system integration and test activities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or similar technical degree with a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Additional Skills & Experience:
* Experience in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) on large electronic system deployments. Experience working directly with government agencies or similar organizations to develop, test, and deploy new automation or network services;
* Experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment;
* Experience with Voice Communications Systems, Radios, Telephony (VoIP, analog, or digital);
* Experience working on large networked systems;
* Experience with validation test bed management and sustainment;
* Experience managing work streams in Jira;
* Other less relevant but adjacent competencies such as programming/coding, electronics projects, ICT skills, hardware development, project management are also beneficial.
