About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Branch Manager who is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the Mackay branch. This role involves managing and reviewing risk and cost controls, overseeing activities in the region, and is accountable for compliance of the branch's activities. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and resolving technical challenges to ensure efficient and high‑quality completion of all tasks.
* Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the team, driving productivity and excellence in the maintenance and servicing of fire protection systems.
* Workplace, health and safety responsibilities, ensuring full compliance with company/branch policies and KPIs.
* Ensure that all work aligns with contractual requirements and industry standards. Conduct thorough site inspections, field leadership activities and audits to maintain top‑quality performance.
* Plan and schedule maintenance and service activities to guarantee timely and efficient completion of tasks.
* Maintain effective communication with client representatives and stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Proactively identify and resolve site issues, implementing solutions and improvements to enhance overall operations.
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial role, preferably within the fire protection, with an electrical or mechanical trades background.
* Experience in fire protection or building services is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support technicians effectively, guiding them in their daily tasks.
* Proven capability to efficiently schedule and plan tasks while managing competing priorities.
* Strong understanding of Workplace, Health and Safety responsibilities and compliance.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues effectively.
* Reside in, or willing to re‑locate to Mackay.
