Domestic Family Violence Facilitator | Intensive Family Support Services | Gladstone or Emerald

* Employment Term: Maximum Term to 11 May 2026 (with potential for extension), Full Time (76 hours per fortnight)
* Location: Gladstone or Emerald
* Remuneration: $55.72 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team

The Domestic Family Violence Facilitator will be the specialist consultant within the Intensive Family Support Service, providing cover for the Gladstone and Emerald catchment areas.

The Domestic Family Violence Facilitator will:

* Provide advice and support for all cases where domestic and family violence is a case characteristic.
* Advice and support with focus on the safe engagement of strategies, safety planning and case plans which actively address both the domestic violence issue and presenting issues around the safety of children in the family home.
* Support Lead Case Managers, Practice Lead, Principal Child Protection Practitioner and Assessment and Engagement Workers to access appropriate targeted domestic and family violence support services.
* Link with the local Family and Child Connect Alliance and other Domestic and Family Violence Networks to support the development of the sector and common practice frameworks
* Provide culturally appropriate support to minority groups affected by domestic and family violence, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

What makes a difference for us?

* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human service/social work/social science or psychology and where relevant registration with a nationally recognized professional body is desirable
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in this area of work particularly specialising in Family/Domestic violence and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
* Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through substantial experience working with children and families including providing culturally appropriate advice.
* Demonstrated knowledge of family/domestic violence.
* Sound knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in applying, therapeutic processes and practices, particularly in relation to child protection and domestic family violence, analysing, evaluating and making objective judgments and recommendations
* Current Queensland Driver License
* A Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is required or ability to obtain
