The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) involves providing clinical and patient-centred care within a hospital environment. This includes supporting the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing services that align with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.
The RN will be rostered and allocated to various roles within Hervey Bay Hospital, working across acute services such as medical, surgical, sub-acute, peri-operative, emergency, intensive care, paediatrics, maternity, transit hub, integrated care, outpatients, renal, specialist outpatients, and cancer care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
* Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
* Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient information
Requirements:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
* Completion of a recognised nursing qualification or completion of an approved hospital training program
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
