Operational Risk Management Role
As a key member of our team, you will support the business by providing second line oversight and challenge to ensure we actively manage, escalate and resolve risks in accordance with our risk management framework. You will work closely with senior leaders in business, technology and risk areas to manage day-to-day risks as well as major projects and change initiatives.
This role involves:
* Designing, reviewing, and delivering operational risk assurance across the business and overseeing controls to support alignment with strategy, business outcomes, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Oversight of control design and implementation, recurring risks and controls review, and resilience assurance and support for regulatory notifications and consultations.
* Supporting the activities to design, implement, and execute a right-sized Operational Risk Management Framework, including incident and issue management, controls assessment, independent assurance, and advisory reviews.
* Representing second line risk on relevant risk forums, management risk committees, project working groups, and steering committees.
* Contributing to and preparing reports to aid decision-making for key forums.
* Providing second-line challenge and oversight on operational risk and governance frameworks.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management roles.
* Experience in dealing with business management, operational risk, technology risk, project, product, or process management issues in a financial institution or related field, or in a consultancy/audit capacity at a management level.
* Ability to build strong relationships at all levels to clearly communicate good risk management practices.
* Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations.
* Strategic thinking and ability to deliver solutions to risk issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
