Media and Communications ManagerAt Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a passionate Media and Communications Manager to join our dedicated team.Location: Fitzroy, VictoriaJob Type: Permanent Full-Time working 38 hours per weekSalary: $109,846.69 to $114,695.78 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 11.5% superannuation.What we offer our employeesSalary packaging options to improve your take home pay – up to $18,500 can be packaged every year (details via AccessPay)!Career development opportunitiesLeave loading of 17.5%Flexible working arrangementsEmployee Assistance ProgramDiscounted health insurance and free flu shots each yearAbout the roleThe Communications and Media Manager is responsible for strategically increasing coverage and public support for BSL’s work by communicating our services, issues we care about and policy solutions for ‘an Australia free of poverty’.Promote the organisation using non-paid media (social, local, mainstream) to increase community reach and brand awareness.Develop and implement communications strategies in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.Create, manage, and publish content for various audiences, including media releases, speeches, newsletters, and digital materials.Build and maintain media relationships, provide media training, and identify compelling stories from staff and service users.Ensure communications align with accessibility standards, Reconciliation commitments, brand guidelines, and internal policies while tracking performance and managing budgets.About Brotherhood of St LaurenceWe are passionate about the work we do.
