Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people in remote communities across Northern Queensland. As a mental health professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessment, treatment, and intervention services, as well as engagement and educational activities within the community.
* Deliver high-quality mental health assessment, treatment, and intervention services, as well as engagement and educational activities within the community.
* Work on a full-time or part-time basis to suit your lifestyle. This position can also be Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) out of Townsville or Cairns, with telehealth option on your off week, for full-time employees.
* Expand your skillset whilst working with a broad range of clients, including children and adults, older persons, people with drug and alcohol issues.
* Travel to various culturally diverse communities across the Northern Queensland regions.
* Establish and support respectful and trusting relationships with individuals, teams, staff, and the community at large.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Current registration with AHPRA, and AASW (if applying as a Social Worker).
* Suitable professions include:
o Registered Psychologists (Provisional Psychologists are welcome and encouraged to apply)
o Mental Health Certified Nurse
o Mental Health Accredited Social Workers
o Mental Health Occupational Therapists
