Established on 1 January 2021, HealthShare Victoria (HSV) is a commercially oriented government organisation focused on supply chain-related value creation for the Victorian public health system including:Merger and integration of the supply chains and supply chain businesses associated with medical consumables (delivering value by way of optimisation and efficiency).Origination and execution of state-wide and strategic procurement contracts for public health system purchasing (delivering value by way of cost reduction and cost avoidance); andManaging supply chain surety risks for the public health system (delivering value by way of avoidance of risk itself).HSV has integrated the medical consumable supply chains of its first 7 health service customers as part of its broader value creation agenda. Leveraging its precursor organisation Health Purchasing Victoria (established in 2001), over the last 12 months HSV has delivered over $120 million in benefits to health services by way of its state-wide and strategic procurement activities.The OpportunityReporting to Head of Sourcing - Operations, this role will be responsible for Providing analytical support for the Sourcing team, including sales report analysis, evaluation of costing and qualitative data from sourcing events responses, generating financial analysis reports for the purpose of decision-making process, as well as designing sourcing scenarios (financial modelling) and producing analytical data demonstrating optimal contract benefit for individual health services.Key Accountabilities Include:Collate, cleanse and categorise health service expenditure to determine the opportunity for greenfield categories, retaining health service identifier to assist in implementation at the end of the sourcing process.Identify trends of current contract data, as provided by suppliers over contract term as well as industry published indexes.Sense check data against health service profile and validate data with health services where anomalies present.Collation of supplier pricing responses and work closely with the Senior/Category Manager and the Clinical & Technical team to cleanse the responses to an acceptable level for presentation to the reference group.Collation of supplier sales reports submitted in the RFx response, cross-check against health service expenditure reports and work closely with the Senior/Category Manager to cleanse and map to the pricing responses.What You Will Bring:Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably encompassing procurement, supply chain, commerce or business administration, or three years Category Management experience.Knowledge of health sector (desirable).Provision of financial analysis of complex scenariosExperience in creating reports tailored to recipients’ needs.Proven ability to track data anomalies back to root cause.Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Excel covering Pivot tables, Charts, Advanced formulasExcellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to acquire information and influence others with diplomacy, tact, and discretion and to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels with respect and confidence.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify issues and develop solutions.Outstanding organisational skills including the ability to manage and prioritise multiple concurrent tasks, meet tight deadlines and work in an independent, flexible manner where required.Benefits of working at HSVSalary packaging4 weeks of Annual Leave plus 13 Accrued Days Off per yearAnnual Leave loading of 17.5%Great flexible work arrangementsEaster Tuesday public holiday.A full position description can be found on the HSV Careers Page.
