The AWS Cloud Intelligence team is a specialty services organization that provides competitive intelligence expertise across cloud providers globally. We advise account teams and customers by delivering content, insights, and support to remove business and technical blockers in the sales cycle and improve the AWS value proposition.
As a Cloud Intelligence Field Business Development Manager, you will partner with AWS field sales to help customers understand why AWS is the best cloud partner for their business. You will coach teams on AWS strengths, create differentiation strategies, identify emerging signals, and support executive engagements. This role blends business and technology skills and requires strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder trust building capabilities.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Develop scalable competitive strategies to enable winning key strategic deals.
* Support, coach, and develop large deal closing capability.
* Be the go-to resource for an AWS field sales segment and sales leadership for AWS differentiation.
* Leverage excellent communication skills to articulate the business value of AWS value propositions, working backwards from our customers strategic objectives.
* Demonstrate the ability to earn trust with internal and external stakeholders.
* Develop and share cloud adoption trends and blockers across the cloud ecosystem.
* Enable and upskill field teams through development of field‐friendly content, and delivery of trainings in-person.
* Track signals and identify opportunities, to provide Cloud Intelligence with insight to improve offerings.
* Influence internal stakeholders on market realities, with the objective to further differentiate AWS's value.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
* Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
* 3+ years experience of enterprise technology experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Cloud Technology Services, including Compute, Hybrid, Security, Networking, Database, Analytics, and/or AI/ML
* Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
* Strong problem‐solving skills and demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop actionable tactical plans quickly, and translate between business value and technical solutions
* Experience developing competitive intelligence and facilitating competitive strategy sessions
