About the Role
We're seeking a soon-to-be or recent graduate in Food Science, or a related discipline, for a dual-focused role combining Training Coordination and Technical Consulting Support. This is a hybrid position, with time split between our Preston office and working from home. This position is available from the 11th of May 2026.
Training Coordination (approx. 50%) You will oversee our training organisation's day-to-day operations — managing student enrolments, coordinating materials and logistics, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will engage regularly with students, trainers, and clients, building strong insight into industry training processes.
Technical Consulting Support (approx. 50%) Working alongside our experienced consulting team, you will contribute to a range of technical projects including food label reviews, HACCP system development, GFSI scheme implementation, and other food safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage training enrolments, logistics, and student records.
* Maintain training compliance and accurate documentation.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for students, trainers, and industry stakeholders.
* Assist consultants with food label reviews, HACCP, and GFSI system development.
* Support a variety of technical food safety and quality management projects.
* Conduct produce quality testing to support a key client.

Who We're Looking For
* Soon‐to‐be or recent graduate in Food Science or a closely related field.
* Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self‐motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, as well as collaboratively in the office.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with databases or student management systems is an advantage but not essential.
* Genuine interest in food safety, HACCP, quality systems, and compliance.
