We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee the administration and performance of multiple period contracts across various government departments and services.
The Role
As Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management and administration of multiple government period contracts relating to, repairs and maintenance of government infrastructure and assets. You will ensure compliance with contract terms, manage variations and performance standards, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support ongoing service delivery.
Your ability to interpret and apply contractual obligations in an operational environment will be essential in ensuring Akron continues to meet and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the full life-cycle of period contracts from mobilisation to close-out.
* Ensure compliance with contract terms, KPIs, and relevant legislation.
* Monitor and manage contract performance, variations, risks, and reporting obligations.
* Provide accurate, strategic advice on contractual and commercial matters.
* Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, government representatives, and subcontractors.
* Manage contract documentation, registers, and records to ensure audit readiness.
* Support the continuous improvement of internal contract management systems and procedures.
About You
You are a results-driven professional with a sound understanding of contract management frameworks, particularly in relation to long-term service-based contracts. You can work autonomously while engaging effectively with stakeholders and maintaining high operational standards.
You will bring:
* Proven experience in contract management, preferably within infrastructure, maintenance, or government services.
* Strong understanding of contractual compliance, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to manage multiple contracts with varying scopes and deliverables.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or diploma in relevant field.
* Experience working with government period contracts or service delivery agreements.
* Understanding of repair and maintenance activities within infrastructure or facilities management.
* Demonstrated commercial acumen and an ability to work both independently and within a team.
