Digital Solutions Division The Digital Solutions Division (DSD) designs, builds, maintains, and supports large-scale (enterprise) specialised software systems used by departmental staff and businesses to provide quality services to job seekers and employers. The Role We are seeking leaders at the EL2 level to fill multiple positions across a range of operational roles including Workforce and IT Strategy. Directors within the Division operate with a significant degree of independence and work under the broad direction of an Assistant Secretary and the First Assistant Secretary, to deliver quality outcomes. In performing a leadership role, Directors identify and drive innovation, manage and lead change and have an active role in contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction. We are looking for people who are energetic critical thinkers who thrive on a challenge and have strong leadership and management skills. Executive level 2 IT Operations Directors will have the capacity to lead multiple teams and play an instrumental part in delivering the Government's agenda in a fast-paced environment. These positions are an exciting opportunity to be involved in contemporary government policy development and implementation from the Information Technology perspective, delivering on the Government's Employment Programs and initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities As an EL2 leader you will: Look for opportunities to increase efficiency, quality and performance of the Division. Proactively identify and implement process and system improvements, whilst maintaining strong communication channels with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of Digital Solutions Division outcomes. Supervise, develop and coach staff, including the provision of clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance and delegating responsibility. Engage and influence senior leadership by explaining complex information to create a shared sense of purpose to enable implementation. Review and advise on a range of written material including business cases, Cabinet Submissions, Senate Estimate submissions, Ministerial and agency briefs and corporate documentation. Qualifications and Education • Experience in stakeholder engagement, Information Technology and/or project management will be highly regarded.
