About the Agency

The Office of Local Government (OLG) is a small yet diverse agency of professionals invested in creating healthy and prosperous communities across NSW. Through the development of policy, programs, strong relationships, engagement and intervention, OLG is a driver of reform and uplift across the state, with a purpose of fostering a strong and sustainable local government sector.

The role

As a Stakeholder Management Support Officer, your core responsibility is to ensure efficient, high‐quality support across a range of administrative and communication functions. You'll assess, register and respond to inquiries from both the public and stakeholders, focusing on enabling the broader objectives of the division. With competing demands and a consistently high volume of work, you'll maintain precision and composure while balancing responsiveness and attention to detail, especially when navigating emerging priorities and complex requests. Your contribution will help foster a collaborative and proactive team culture, ensuring shared goals are achieved through effective information exchange and thoughtful service delivery.

What you will bring to the role

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • Maintains meticulous attention to detail amid high‐volume workloads, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.
  • Clear and professional communication across written communications, phone inquiries, and face‐to‐face interactions, ensuring consistency in handling public and stakeholder requests.
  • Skilled in navigating and resolving a high volume of public and stakeholder enquiries across various mediums, ensuring timely and accurate responses while escalating complex matters appropriately.
  • Proficient in supporting cross‐team collaboration and project coordination activities, gathering relevant data and contributing to information sharing and planning across diverse service units.
