Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient management of stock, safety, and team performance within the warehouse. This is a full-time position operating on a 9-day fortnight roster.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and train warehouse staff in systems, processes, and safety standards.
* Oversee goods receipting, storage, and part issuance for work orders.
* Manage the physical inventory cycle count process to maintain stock accuracy.
* Oversee dispatch, returns, transfers, and credit processes.
* Raise purchase requisitions and follow up on outstanding purchase orders.
* Conduct regular warehouse safety and compliance audits.
* Lead warehouse improvement initiatives and apply best practices.
* Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
* Maintain registers and certifications for tooling and lifting equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory warehouse requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Previous warehousing experience within coal mining is essential.
* Computerised catalogue and inventory control experience (JDE, SAP or similar) is required.
* A valid driver's license is necessary.
* A current G1,8,9 & G2 certificate (or willingness to obtain) is required.
* A forklift operator's ticket is essential.
* Competent in the use of common Microsoft Office Suite software.
* Excellent communication, work planning, and scheduling skills are necessary.
