**The Role**
Are you looking to use your technical skills in an exciting, cutting-edge environment where you can solve problems, learn new skills and obtain further qualifications? Well look no further! As either an Electro Technician or Mechanical Technician, working in Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) in the Department of Defence, you will be working in one of our Guided Weapons maintenance facilities on some of the most exciting and complex guided weapons and explosive ordnance products used by the Australian Defence Force.
You will spend your days:
- Undertaking exciting electronic/mechanical technical maintenance to maintain and certify Guided Weapons. This end-to-end processes includes: maintenance, breakdown, repair, assembly, alignment, calibration, test, inspection and technical certification.
- Following procedures in a highly regulated environment.
We are currently recruiting to the following vacancies:
- 5 x Explosive Ordnance Armaments Technician (Mechanical), located in Rockingham, WA; and
- 4 x Explosive Ordnance Armaments Technician (Electronic), located in Rockingham, WA.

Explosive Materiel Branch which is part of Guided Weapon & Explosive Ordnance Group (GWEO Group). Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are located in Canberra, Penrith, Amberley, Melbourne and Stirling, and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.
