The Opportunity
We are seeking applications for a suitably qualified Teacher of Industrial Design and Technology at McAuley College. The role includes expansion of facilities to support growing demand. A second teaching area and the ability to teach Religion in a Catholic School are advantageous. For more information, visit our school website.
Responsibilities
* Creating a nurturing, learner-centred learning environment aligned with curriculum policies and practices
* Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and pedagogy; evaluating effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress to students, parents and the community
* Working with the leadership team, teachers and staff to foster a positive school culture
* Engaging in professional learning to enhance student outcomes
* Establishing positive pastoral care relationships and supporting students' spiritual and moral development
* Ensuring Catholic Church teachings and values form the foundation for learning and teaching
About You
To be successful, you will bring contemporary skills and experience including:
* Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
* Designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
* Engaging with colleagues, students and parents to enrich learning and outcomes
* A commitment to supporting students' spiritual and moral development
* It is not required that you be Catholic
Eligibility and Safeguarding
* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
* Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
