Clinician – Mental Health (Maximum Term Full Time 12 months)
Life Without Barriers Synergy Youth and Family Mental Health Service provides intensive community-based support to young people aged 12‐25 who are experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges.
Based in Hobart, this role includes community and outreach work, regular supervision with a skilled clinical supervisor, and generous employee benefits including salary packaging and a Fitness Passport.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, formulate care plans and risk assessments to inform appropriate interventions.
* Administer, interpret and report on a range of client assessments, consistent with professional registrations and client needs.
* Provide evidence‐based psychological interventions to individuals and groups presenting with multiple needs.
* Monitor and review client progress against care plans and outcome measures.
* Engage in case discussion and review with partner organisations and the care team, demonstrating client outcomes.
* Support clients to maintain or re‐engage in education, employment and social networks, and facilitate independent living and community relationships.
* Collaboratively plan for transition or exit from services, including referral to other services where appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant Allied Health field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work) with 25 years post‐graduate clinical mental health.
* Experience providing therapeutic support to young people (12‐25) and their families.
* Ability to work autonomously in the community and collaboratively within team.
* Skilled in clinical assessment, care planning and delivering evidence‐based psychological interventions to young people and families.
* Experience collaborating with agencies supporting clients with complex needs, including mental health services, GPs, psychiatrists and community services.
* Knowledge of and experience working within internal and external Clinical Governance frameworks.
* Current registration or eligibility with the relevant professional body.
* Committed to youth‐friendly, client‐focused care and delivering positive outcomes through case management and psychological interventions.
* Flexible and willing to provide outreach, e‐health and community‐based interventions using a recovery‐oriented approach.
