And to deliver a world-class healthcare system that ensures every single Victorian can access safe, quality care that leads to better health outcomes for all.About YouLead and provide strategic oversight of the Workforce Strategy and Planning branch and cultivate a culture of innovation, learning and continuous improvement to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of divisional and departmental objectives.Develop and manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the health sector and government to inform policy and strategy development and implementation. These include health service executives, clinical leaders, professional bodies (e.g. Medical Colleges), industrial bodies and community representatives, as well as senior executives from other portfolio departments and central agencies.Represent the department on key government and non-government committees and bodies concerned with achieving government and departmental objectives. These include national committees, Inter-Departmental Committees and Ministerial Advisory Committees. Participation in all committees would include preparation of position papers, with necessary engagement and approval from senior executives or Ministers. The role may be expected to Chair IDCs and some other committees. The role could be expected to represent the department and Victorian government in international engagements.Provide expert policy and strategic advice on the development and implementation of government priorities in health workforce. Lead, direct and coordinate policy and program development, management, and evaluation for the State's health workforce.Ensure the achievement of the wider government agenda and develop plans to mitigate any emerging issues including state, national or international environments.
